I just bought the IFR Ground School online 2 days ago (2/23/15). Today I saw that the testing standards change from PTS to ACS on June 15. Since the online course is always up-to-date, when will the content change? Do you have a document comparing what is different so I can decide to hurry up and use the PTS vs the go more leisurely and use the ACS? How much will the ground content change? Is it silly to start the ground content before it’s been updated to ACS if I realistically won’t be ready for the checkride before the ACS goes live June 15? Please advise.

The ACS is essentially an enhanced version of the PTS. It adds task-specific knowledge and risk management elements to each PTS Area of Operation and Task. June 2016 is the target date for implementation of the Private and Instrument ACS. King Schools is in the processing of updating these courses for the transition this Summer
