The prerequisite to be qualified to get your Commercial License is that you have to hold at least a Private Pilot License and be 18 years of age. By law you must have your Private Pilot License.

No, once you acquire your private license, you can either 1. go for you Instrument Rating (which is optional, but recommended) or 2. go straight to Commercial rating. Before you get you Commercial License, you must first pass a Written Test & Practical test…Hope that answers you questions 🙂
